Couple.
The 'couple' who had the most influence on me from a gaming perspective are Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone. That's the UK Steve Jackson of course. Without the Fighting Fantasy books, Games Workshop (before it became the Warhammer store) and White Dwarf (before it became the Warhammer catalogue), I doubt that I would have developed a life long love of this hobby.
