The first RPG Gamesmaster I encountered was myself, as I was the one that brought the games into our circle of friends. I've been a perennial GM ever since. However, the first GM that ran for me was my friend Ged in the first year of secondary school (Year 7 these days). He ran the start the The Lost City for Basic D&D and we all died very quickly.
We used to play at school; most of the games were run by me, Ged or John (aka Noddy). We'd play for 50 minutes most lunchtimes thanks to a friendly teacher who gave us classroom space and encouragement (thank you Miss Smith/Mrs Birch - you gave me a life-long hobby).
