When were you first introduced to RPGs?

I was first introduced to RPGs by an article in the Blakes 7 themed issue of Space Voyager magazine in early 1982. This led to a slippery slope to the Fighting Fantasy books (Citadel of Chaos was my first) in 1983 and then White Dwarf 52. Sometime in 1983 I was given a copy of Holmes Basic D&D as a gift and then bought the Games Workshop version of Call of Cthulhu to follow it.

I still have a scan of the article that drew me in.

I also picked up "What is Dungeons & Dragons?" from the local library and read it repeatedly. This was probably 1984.
